Practical InformationThe DINAMO 2026 conference will be in South Africa!
Cape Town International Airport has flights operated by most major airlines, including United Airlines, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airways, British Airways and many more.
Taxi information and getting about Cape Town If you are organising your own transport, or staying before/after the conference, it is recommended to get an Uber for short distance travel (within the Cape Town area). Please choose Uber Comfort (minimum) or Uber Black - Uber has been in South Africa for more than 10 years, but unfortunately many of the cars in the lower categories below Comfort have not been updated or checked for road worthiness. If you are taking an Uber from the airport, proceed to Parkade 1 after exiting the luggage collection area and ignore anyone asking you if you need a taxi or Uber - these are local taxi operators who may charge significantly more than an Uber ride. You may want to order your Uber before you head to Parkade 1 (it's a 2 min walk from the main terminal - exit on the right and follow the signs). For longer distance travel, ie. to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek or beyond, it is recommended to book a shuttle service in advance (www.ezshuttle.co.za).
*Areas to avoid around Cape Town* Like every major city around the world, there are certain places where it is advisable to avoid. Below is a map of areas around Cape Town that should be avoided. Click here for a more detailed version.
