1. Shuttles (18th March 2026)
At the moment we have the following times for transfer shuttles from the airport to the hotel on 5 April: 10am, 1pm, 3pm, 6pm.
The return transfer shuttles from the hotel to the airport on 11 April will be 7am, 10am and 12pm.
Please ensure you have notified the Venues team about your arrival/departure to guarantee your space on one of the shuttles.
2. At the airport (9th March 2026)
If you are waiting for a shuttle transfer to the hotel, there are more comfortable cafes and restaurants at the top mezzanine floor (above departures), including Mugg and Bean, Primi, Spur, Ocean Basket etc. Cape Town airport also has eduroam wifi, which makes getting online easy and safe.
3. Flight re-routing and delays (6th March 2026)
As you finalise your arrangements for Cape Town, please do take a moment to check your flight connections for any potential delays or re-routing.
Please also note that we can only accommodate changes to your itinerary and associated refunds if you inform us by Thursday 12 March 2026, as the hotel requires this information about three weeks in advance. Similarly, we will not be able to issue refunds for any cancellations notified after this date.
4. Phishing emails (24th February 2026)
If you receive an email from convariatravel.com asking about your accommodation or travel arrangements please ignore it – it is a phishing scam targeting academic conference attendees at conferences around the world.
Official emails about the DINAMO conference will be from one of the conference organisers listed on the Home webpage, or from the events management company Venues at www.venues.co.za who are helping us.
